More Snow!

We woke up this morning to 10 inches of fresh snow. Wow. It sure is different from winters in Santa Rosa, that’s for sure. Max immediatelyput on his snowsuit (with my help, obviously), and went out to play. Here’s the proof:2115481037_8aaf9af824.jpg

Our Christmas Picture

It’s all I’ve got right now–finals are looming!

Je Suis Une Artiste

Hello from Fly-Over country (now I know why they call it that!). Life here is good. School is halfway over for the year, and seems to be going well. I got a job at this place and began work last week. While it’s not as artistic as the other restaurant I worked at before, it’ll pay the bills.

Kristin began taking Max to the St. Louis Magic House every week for activities. He’s had a “Science Day” and “Music Day” and most recently “Art Day”. Max wore a smock and played with paint for the first time. I think he liked it, because his work is actually quite good–maybe not as good as this kids, though. Here are some pictures you might enjoy (notice his artistic “angst”–I taught him that!).

Updates and More Pictures

Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted; I finally have some new pictures of Max to show you. Life here has been good–I started school on August 30th, and have been running full speed since then. I’m taking 5 classes, and they all keep me pretty well busy. Kristin continues to work weekends at the hospital, and Max is enjoying his time with Mama during the week.

I’ve included some new pictures, as well as links for some new videos too. You can see the videos here, here, and here.

We’re looking forward to Chet, Bonnie, and Grandma Jeanne coming to visit next week, followed by the Noble clan at the end of October. Our house is always open, if any of you are ever in Misery…er, Missouri.

Update

Today Kristin decided to cut Max’s hair herself. “How hard could it be,” she asked, and then proceeded to whip out the shears, deftly flicking the sharp object here and there. This is the result…

On another note, Kristin is knee-deep in Harry Potter 7, and should surface sometime tomorrow. I stole the book from her and flipped to the last few pages, so I already know that Harry di…whoops…I mean, I know how the story ends. If you want to know, then call me.

Also had supper and saw Transformers (coolest movie I’ve seen in awhile) with this guy.

Good times…

Arrived

Well, we’re finally here in St. Louis. It seems our life has been a flurry of boxes, bubble wrap, and tired, sore bodies. But, we’re here. Kristin begins work at a major hospital here in town on July 9th, and I begin school on August 30th. It’s been nice having time as a family to alleviate the pressure of such an adjustment. Max is taking to it well. There’s a great Zoo and park nearby (free, by the way) that we have been making major use of. We do miss California, but are anxious to begin new friendships out here too. I’ve included some new pictures of Max; it seems that everyday he does something new. His favourite now is to count “1…2…3!”, and talk on his cell phone. =-) I’m trying to start him on Arthurian romances, but his vocabulary is still developing!

Updates

I was a little ashamed of myself when I saw that I had last posted on March 9th! What a busy few months it has been. The biggest news is that Kristin and I bought a house in St. Louis, MO, where we will be moving for seminary (at Covenant Theological Seminary). The house is a 4 bed, 2 bath house in a nice quiet part of town, about 20 minutes from school. Moving there afforded us the opportunity to have a place of our own for the first time, and the Lord has been gracious in directing us thus far.

Our timetable is a bit different than we wanted it to be, however. We close escrow on June 1, and I will be moving our stuff out there shortly after. Needless to say, it’s a bit sooner than we wanted it to be, but we trust that Christ is in control, and we look forward to the new adventures ahead of us. If you want our new contact info, just email me and let me know–I don’t want any crazies getting ahold of it over the internet!

And, just today, Max had his first haircut ever! We had a 50% off coupon for a little place that specialises in kids haircuts, and while Max sat in the little airplane chair, Mom and Dad took a gazillion pictures, some of which you can see here. The new ‘do certainly makes him look older than he is!

That’s all for now. I probably won’t post again until we land in MO, but you never know!

New ‘do

I know, I know–I’m a total slacker. Life has been crazy around here. I’m now officially “Mr. Mom”, and home with Max all day. We realised that Kristin makes way more money as a nurse than I ever will at the restaurant, so she’s back at work full-time. The weather has been nice, so Max has been able to enjoy the outdoors more. He’s 13 months old now! I still can’t believe it’s true. I have a couple of new videos too–here and here. We’ll have more stuff in the near future (I hope!).
